AROA is a group of Asian Urban & Mainline railway operators & is designed to
Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information
Promote awareness of new technologies
Highlight, address & respond to the challenges facing rail transportation in Asia
CONCEPT & AIMS
AROA brings together railway professionals, who share the same areas of expertise and face the same ongoing challenges
The emphasis of the association is very much on the sharing of experiences for the mutual benefit of all members
It provides an excellent opportunity for members to contribute to & learn from their wealth of collective knowledge
Networking with their counterparts from other Asian rail operators, enables members to benchmark their systems and develop best practices
ANNUAL CONGRESS
Held in conjunction with Rail Solutions Asia, the AROA Annual Congress is the highlight of the AROA year
Senior Managers from railway operators across Asia will converge on Kuala Lumpur for an unrivalled opportunity to develop their knowledge and understanding of the railway industry. The programme includes 6 key disciplines

The Congress schedule and layout is designed to give members time to enjoy & appreciate the full AROA Experience
In addition to attending the conference sessions, there are many opportunities to network and socialise with all participants and visit the 90+ stands in the exhibition
AROA Members' Open Forum
Each of the 6 sessions includes an AROA Member Open Forum
Up to 20 Asian Railway Operators will send Senior Managers, with relevant expertise, to attend each of the sessions
Ahead of the event they will be asked to supply a list of current and relevant topics for discussion
The conference Chairperson will use these topics to lead an open forum debate between all of the participants
The AROA Open Forum in action as Kahfi Ramadhan from LRT Jakarta raises the topic of Quality & Safety for Permanent Way & Infrastructure
